We take pride in the fact that we do everything we can to ensure that our employees are always properly trained, outfitted with the correct protective equipment and in good health when they work on any of our jobs. We have our own customized health and safety plan in place in order to make sure that no matter what type of project we are working on our employees are as safe as possible. This is especially important when working around hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead and mold, as we often do. According to asbestosnews.com the American Thoracic Society has found that “asbestos has been the largest cause of occupational cancer in the United States and a significant cause of disease and disability from nonmalignant disease.” They published that statistic from the American Thoracic Society along with this chart showing which occupations are most impacted by exposure to asbestos (http://www.asbestosnews.com/). Source: www.asbestosnews.com Many of the people exposed to asbestos in these occupations probably don’t even know they are at risk, which means they can’t take the steps necessary to protect themselves. This is one of the many reasons the safety and health of our employees always comes first and it’s why we make sure they are educated about the risks associated with hazardous materials and ways to keep themselves safe.
